Micro influencer rates in 2026 (10K – 50K followers)

DeliverableMicro benchmark (10K – 50K)
Instagram Reel$500 – $2,000
Sponsored TikTok$500 – $2,000
Story set (2–3 frames)$200 – $800
UGC video (no posting)$500 – $1,500
Whitelisting / 30 days$500 – $1,000
Exclusivity / 30 days$500 – $1,000

Benchmarks from Tally market data, updated for 2026. Ranges assume ~2–3.5% engagement; higher engagement supports the top of each range.

Micro is the tier brands love most, and it's worth understanding why so you can price with confidence: engagement rates at 10K–50K typically beat larger accounts, audiences still feel like communities, and a brand can run five micro creators for the cost of one macro post. You're not the cheap option — you're the efficient option. Quote like it.

Where you sit inside the tier matters. A 12K account and a 48K account share the same benchmark row but not the same market position: near the bottom of the tier, anchor conservatively within the range; near the top, quote the upper half. The calculator above adjusts for your exact position automatically.

The 50K line: when to start quoting mid-tier rates

Crossing 50K moves your Reel benchmark from $500–$2,000 to $2,000–$5,000 — the single biggest percentage jump on the ladder after nano-to-micro. If you're within striking distance (40K+ and growing), negotiate like you're already there: brands are booking campaigns 4–8 weeks out, and by the time content goes live, you may well be mid-tier. Locking a long campaign at low-micro rates right before you cross the line is the most expensive timing mistake at this tier.

The other lever micros underuse is the rate card. Sending a one-page card with your benchmarks before a brand names a number flips the anchor in your favor — the negotiation starts from your figure, not their budget.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a micro influencer?
10,000 to 50,000 followers on your primary platform. Below that is nano; 50K–100K is mid-tier. The boundaries matter because rates move in jumps at each line, not smoothly.
How much should a micro influencer charge per post?
For a sponsored Reel or TikTok: $500–$2,000, positioned by where you sit in the tier and your engagement. Story sets run $200–$800; UGC videos $500–$1,500. Engagement above ~3.5% supports a 10–25% premium on all of it.
Should I have a rate card at this size?
Absolutely — this is exactly the size where a rate card starts doing real work. It anchors negotiations at your number, signals professionalism, and stops the 'what's your budget?' dance. Keep it to one page: deliverables, rates, usage terms.
Are gifted collabs still okay at 20K–30K followers?
Rarely. At this tier your content has clear market value, and gifted-only briefs with deliverable requirements are underpriced paid work. The exception: a product you genuinely want, no usage rights, no exclusivity, minimal deliverables.
When do I move to mid-tier pricing?
At 50K — but start blending earlier. From ~40K, quote the top of micro and mention your growth trajectory in negotiations. Campaigns booked now go live weeks later, when you may already be across the line.
