Benchmarks from Tally market data, updated for 2026. Ranges assume ~2–3.5% engagement; higher engagement supports the top of each range.

TikTok rates run slightly hotter than Instagram at the mid-tier — $2,500–$5,500 for a sponsored video versus $2,000–$5,000 for a Reel — because TikTok's For You page distribution is less tied to your follower count. A mid-tier TikTok can genuinely outperform a much larger account's post, and brands price for that upside.

Where you land inside your range depends on engagement (above ~3.5% supports the upper end), niche (finance, tech, and parenting typically pay above lifestyle), and what usage the brand is asking for. Which brings us to the biggest line item most creators miss.

Spark Ads: where TikTok creators leave the most money

A Spark Ad is the brand running your post, from your handle, as a paid ad. Your face becomes their ad creative, and their spend rides on your credibility. This is never included in a sponsored post rate — it's whitelisting, billed separately per 30-day window at the ranges above, and renewed for every window the ad keeps running.

When a brief says "includes Spark Ads authorization," that's two products in one price. Quote the post and the Spark window as separate line items. If the budget is fixed, shorten the authorization window rather than discounting the post.

Frequently asked questions

How much should I charge per 10K followers on TikTok?
Flat per-follower math breaks down fast, because rates jump at tier boundaries rather than scaling linearly. A 9K creator and an 11K creator are $100–$500 vs $500–$2,000 — same 2K follower difference, completely different market. Use tier ranges plus your engagement, not a per-follower formula.
Does TikTok pay more than Instagram?
They're comparable at most tiers. The exception is mid-tier (50K–100K), where TikTok benchmarks run about $500 higher on both ends — TikTok distribution depends less on follower count, so mid-size accounts punch above their weight.
What should I charge for Spark Ads?
Treat it as whitelisting: a separate fee per 30 days of authorization, at the ranges in the table above — on top of the sponsored post rate. Never grant open-ended Spark authorization; always cap the window.
Is gifted product acceptable payment for a sponsored TikTok?
Product isn't payment — it's product. Gifted-only collabs can make sense for nano creators building a portfolio, but only when you'd genuinely buy the item and there's no exclusivity or usage rights attached. Once a brand asks for deliverables with requirements, that's a paid deal.
When should I raise my TikTok rates?
When you cross a tier boundary, when your engagement rate holds above 3.5%, or when your recent videos consistently out-view your follower count. Any of those justifies quoting from the upper half of your range.
